1. Click on the banner that reads “Apply Now!” (image below)
2. On the right you will see two tabs “ All” and “ External.” The tab “All” is all scholarships offered. The tab “External” is scholarships that are funded through outside sources. You apply for those scholarships on their web site.
3. Then click on the “sign in” button in the upper right-hand corner.
4. Next, you will need to click on the “sign in to your institution” button.
5. Each student will need to create an account and fill out a general scholarship application online. You can save at any time and come back to the application.
6. Students need to create an account, using their student Butte College email and MyBC/Blackboard password. Example: studentname@student.butte.edu. Students must enter their MyBC/Blackboard password.

Friday, May 24, 8 a.m. – 12 p.m.; Tuesday – Wednesday, May 28 – 29, 8 a.m. – 5 p.m.
7. Students will be required to submit email addresses of two references. Your references will be required to upload letters of recommendation.
8. The student should contact each reference to explain that they will receive an email on the student’s behalf asking for a letter of recommendation. In the email received, there will be a link that will take your reference to the application website. Your reference will click on the “reference tab” then click the “sign in” button. They will then use their email address (where they received the link) and email password to create an account. This is where they can then upload the letter of recommendation and submit. Note: Scanned images of documents will not upload.
Awards will be announced by email in July with a scholarship reception held in August. Check back often as more scholarships are added periodically that you may qualify for.
What is a Scholarship? A scholarship is a financial award given to a student on the basis of academic achievement and promise. Scholarships do not have to be repaid.
